\"Mus\u00e9e<\/a>Travel with the Le Mus\u00e9e des Arts Forains<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0toward a new spectacle once again, with mimes, music, acrobats and walk with the man-bird (Balade de l’homme-oiseau<\/em><\/a>). In 2013 the theme is “Le Festival du Merveilleux<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n

Between December 26, 2013 and January 5, 2014, at the Pavillons de Bercy, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m., mimes, magicians, acrobats and storytellers will guide you on a voyage into a marvelous dream world festival. The Fairground Arts museum will present a different show every thirty minutes (Check out the program).<\/p>\n

Normally visits are only with special group reservations and special events. The after-Christmas period is one of the most rare moments to experience games, old-fashioned rides, carrousels, costumes, at this indoor carnival. The only other time the museum opens to the public is during the Heritage days the third weekend in September (Journ\u00e9es du Patrimoine<\/em>).<\/p>\n

The museum comprises four different areas:
\nThe Mus\u00e9e des Arts Forains, the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Merveilleux, the Salons V\u00e9nitiens, and the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Verdure. Each area has a particular theme: 19th-century fairgrounds at the Mus\u00e9e des Arts Forains, carnival in the Salons V\u00e9nitiens, cabinets of curiosity in the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Merveilleux and amazing gardens in the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Verdure.
