Paris is full of restaurants that serve past midnight, and in the case of some, into the early hours of the morning.<\/p>\n

La Tour Montlh\u00e9ry<\/strong>\u00a0in the Halles district for example, better known as Chez Denise (after its owner) serves up a feast of traditional fare until 5am. Until 1971, the Halles district was the capital\u2019s largest wholesale food market and other well-known restaurants in the area include\u00a0Au Pied de Cochon<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0La Poule au Pot<\/strong>. Founded in 1947 and 1935, respectively, these two brasseries are open day and night and are the unchanging witnesses of the \u2018Parisian stomach\u2019 and its good food.<\/p>\n

To find a table in the early morning hours, night owls can also head to the area around the Op\u00e9ra Garnier, where\u00a0Le Grand Caf\u00e9 Capucines<\/strong>\u00a0welcomes empty stomachs 24\/7. This art deco-style brasserie is famous for its seafood and traditional dishes (foie gras, rib steak, etc.). Delicious seafood platters are also on offer at\u00a0L\u2019Alsace,<\/strong>\u00a0which as its name suggests, serves specialties from the region, including of course, the famous choucroute (the French version of sauerkraut). On the Left Bank, the\u00a0Pub Saint-Germain<\/strong>\u00a0has a varied food menu, beers and cocktails, available day and night, in a cosy setting.<\/p>\n

As well as these all-night restaurants, Paris also boasts numerous restaurants where the chefs work in the kitchen until 1 or 2 in the morning. One example is\u00a0Chez Andr\u00e9<\/strong>, which has been offering refined brasserie dining near the \u00c9toile since 1936. A few steps away,\u00a0Le Music-Hall<\/strong>\u00a0keeps a trendy young clientele happy with its unusual menu and ultra-modern decor. Staying on the west side of the city, food lovers are spoiled for choice with\u00a0L\u2019Auberge Dab<\/strong>,\u00a0Le Congr\u00e8s Auteuil<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Le Congr\u00e8s Maillot<\/strong>, three restaurants renowned for their top class quality meats, fish and seafood.<\/p>\n

Other more popular areas are also full of good places for a late-night dinner. The pizzeria in the very trendy\u00a0Mama Shelter<\/strong>\u00a0hotel deserves a mention for its original menu offering deliciously affordable pizzas, including one with chocolate! For a relaxing atmosphere, head to\u00a025\u00b0 Est<\/strong>. The restaurant boasts a stunning view of La Villette basin and rotunda.\u00a0Le Petit Trianon<\/strong>\u00a0bistro is the ideal place to go to replenish your energy after a night-time stroll in Montmartre. The bistro, situated on the ground floor of the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre du Trianon, has a menu with toasties, sandwiches and salads made using home-made produce.<\/p>\n

Finally, no night in Paris would be complete without a visit to\u00a0L\u2019Alcazar<\/strong>, a famous cabaret transformed into a restaurant. Seven days a week, a \u2018main course plus drink\u2019 offer is available on the Mezzanine, the bar overlooking the main restaurant space.<\/p>\n
